Life is for Learning

All software classes are held on Saturdays, when you can park right outside the door in our own car park. During the week however, a large, free public car park is available less than a minute's walk away.

The handcrafted embroidery classes are doing well, with blackwork and silk shading being very popular. Freemotion embroidery is also an exciting and interesting experience for those who are beginning in this skill.

During this year we are going to try to do our bit for the environment and recycle. We will be making calico shopping bags to get rid of those awful plastic ones, recycle old jeans and bedlinen to make bags, waistcoats, purses and so much more.

As always, we are available to help you get the best from your machine, whether you sew or embroider - or both! You can come into the School and use any of the top of the range Husqvarna Viking machines that we have, or you can bring your own machine and benefit for our expert tuition. Join us and be inspired!

We are hard at work getting together the 'DLPs' (Distance Learning Packs) to satisfy the requests received from eager students. We will keep you posted on what is on offer. Keep checking back, as we will update this page with information as it happens.

In the meantime, feel free to download the Class Schedules at the top of the page, so you can see what we are doing. This schedule is based on an outline of what we think you may like to achieve. However, we have found that our more regular students decide between them what their group would like to do. We are always happy to oblige - and don't forget, if you want to attend on a certain day, but would like to do something else, we are happy to juggle our classroom. Variety is the spice of life - and we love a challenge.
