Well, Christmas is about to descend on us again. It may seem a long way off just now, but those of us who like to create quality 'one - off' items for those we love, time is not on our side. Prepare now and avoid those last minute rushes!

If you want to make Christmas table linen, a pair of monogrammed pillow slips, spectacle cases or a toy for that favourite Grandchild, we can do it here. Make a Bag Lady to hold all your plastic carrier bags, or a cotton Tote Bag to help save the environment. The handcrafted embroidery classes continue to do well. This year we have been playing with paints to create truly one-of-a-kind items. Painted first, then embroidered and embellished with sequins, beads etc. - beautiful! Freemotion embroidery is also an exciting and interesting experience for those who are beginning in this skill. We have also been asked to start crochet and knitting classes, so now we have them. Classes have also begun for pattern making. Make a pair of slacks or a skirt that actually fits YOU.

As always software classes are generally held on Saturdays, (unless specifically requested during the week) when you can park right outside the door in our own car park. During the week however, a large, free public car park is available less than a minute's walk away. For those staying all day we have the charming Tea Cosy Tea Rooms for traditional English lunches and Cream Teas as well as two public houses, all within a minute's walk. We do, of course, provide tea or coffee in the School for those who want it.

As always, we are available to help you get the best from your machine, whether you sew or embroider - or both! You can come into the School and use any of the top of the range Husqvarna Viking machines that we have, or you can bring your own machine and benefit for our expert tuition. Join us and be inspired! Remember that registered students receive a 10% discount on products bought in the School, where we aim to keep the prices as low as possible

We are hard at work getting together the 'DLPs' (Distance Learning Packs) to satisfy the requests received from eager students. We will keep you posted on what is on offer. Keep checking back, as we will update this page with information as it happens.

In the meantime, feel free to download the Class Schedules at the top of the page, so you can see what we are doing. This schedule is based on an outline of what we think you may like to achieve. However, we have found that our more regular students decide between themselves what their group would like to do. We are always happy to oblige - and don't forget, if you want to attend on a certain day, but would like to do something else, we are happy to juggle our classroom. Variety is the spice of life - and we love a challenge.
